CcdB
The CcdB toxin is a part of the CcdA-CcdB system. The sequence of the system is present in the E. coli genome. The CcdB toxin is used for E. coli to carry out self apoptosis to prevent environmental contamination. The CcdB toxin is able to be neutralized with CcdA antitoxin, to avoid the E. coli cell from carrying out self apoptosis.
